dyke march yesterday was wild between meeting cynthia nixon, the girl I was in love with in 2008 and I assumed was straight and pined for for years, someone else I desperately wanted to avoid (and succeeded I think), and then my co-worker having had no idea about me even though I felt I was blatantly obvious to her and now she’s so glad to realize she’s not alone there. so much, too much for one evening.
and there was this woman on a bike who read my shirt and smiled and gave me a wink and I only just find out now that she’s the original voice of coco bandicoot that’s so fun my childhood!
today is my birthday! ten years ago today I endured what I can only understand as a trauma. it was the last time I’ve had anyone sing me happy birthday. a decade later and I still can’t take having that sung to me. my nineteenth birthday was one of the hardest days of my life but somehow I’ve made it to twenty-nine.
